Your privacy matters. This policy explains what Keeps collects and the choices available to you.

Keeps is published and operated by Othmane Nejdi, representing Otha Studio ("Otha Studio", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how Keeps (the "App") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App, create an account, purchase a subscription, use Keeps Companion, or contact us.

1. Who is responsible for your information

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Keeps, we may collect the following information.

Account information: your email address, internal user or guest identifier, securely hashed password, sign-in provider identifiers, account dates, timezone, and preferences.
Wellness information: onboarding answers, mood and emotional check-ins, stress responses, selected body-tension locations, goals, session selections, completion history, duration, and feedback you choose to provide.
Companion content: messages you send to Keeps Companion, generated responses, conversation titles, timestamps, and related session recommendations.
Device and notification information: device identifier, platform, push-notification token, notification preferences, delivery status, and recent App activity.
Purchase information: product identifier, subscription or entitlement status, store, purchase receipt or token, renewal and expiration information, and a cryptographic hash of the receipt.
Usage and technical information: App launches, feature interactions, onboarding progress, sessions, notification interactions, analytics events, request information, and technical errors needed to operate and improve Keeps.
Support information: your email address, message, and any information you voluntarily provide when contacting us.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the information that provider makes available, such as a provider identifier and, where permitted, your email address. We do not receive your Apple ID password or Google password. If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, Apple may provide a private relay address.

3. Sensitive wellness information

Some information you voluntarily provide may be considered sensitive or health-related in your jurisdiction. We use it to provide check-ins, recommendations, sessions, insights, and other App functionality. We do not sell this information or use it for targeted advertising.

Keeps is a general wellness product. It is not a healthcare provider, medical device, emergency service, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical or mental-health care.

4. Keeps Companion and artificial intelligence

When you use Keeps Companion, your messages and relevant recent conversation context may be sent to an artificial-intelligence service provider to generate a response. Do not include information you do not want processed, such as full addresses, financial details, government identifiers, or detailed medical records.

Keeps Companion is automated and is not continuously monitored by a person. Do not rely on it in an emergency. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service immediately.

5. How we collect information

Directly from you when you create an account, complete onboarding or check-ins, use sessions or Keeps Companion, change preferences, or contact us.
Automatically when you interact with the App or our servers.
From Apple or Google when you use their sign-in services.
From Apple and our subscription provider when purchases and entitlements are processed.
From notification providers when a notification is sent or its delivery is checked.

6. How we use information

To create, authenticate, maintain, and secure accounts and guest access.
To provide check-ins, wellness sessions, recommendations, saved progress, and pattern insights.
To provide and maintain Keeps Companion conversations.
To manage subscriptions, lifetime purchases, premium access, and purchase restoration.
To send reminders and notifications that you choose to enable.
To understand App use, fix errors, improve performance, and develop features.
To detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
To respond to support, account, and privacy requests.
To comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

7. When we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share only the information reasonably needed with service providers that help us operate Keeps, including:

Apple, for App Store distribution, payments, Sign in with Apple, and platform services.
Google, if you choose Google Sign-In.
RevenueCat, for subscription and entitlement management.
OpenRouter and the selected AI model provider, to generate Keeps Companion responses.
Expo and mobile notification providers, to deliver push notifications.
Hosting, database, security, and infrastructure providers needed to operate the App.

We require providers acting on our behalf to protect information and process it only for authorized purposes. Providers may also process information under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect the rights and integrity of Keeps and Otha Studio. Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of the service, subject to appropriate notice and safeguards.

8. Data retention and automatic deletion

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Keeps, meet the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.

An account is considered inactive when there has been no authenticated App activity for 30 consecutive days. After 30 consecutive days of inactivity, the account and its associated personal information will be scheduled for automatic deletion. This may include onboarding answers, check-ins, session history, Companion conversations, device records, and notification settings. Guest accounts are subject to the same 30-day inactivity period.

Using the App before deletion resets the inactivity period. Automatic deletion is permanent and deleted account history may not be recoverable. Limited records may be retained where required by law, needed for transaction or accounting obligations, or necessary to prevent fraud and protect the service. Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten.

9. How to delete your account

You may permanently delete your account from Keeps → Settings → Account → Delete Account. You may also request deletion by emailing [email protected] from the address connected to your account. We may need to verify that you control the account.

Deleting the App from your device does not by itself delete your account. Account deletion removes the account and associated personal information that we are not legally required to retain.

Deleting your Keeps account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. To review or cancel a subscription, open iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Keeps. Account deletion does not automatically create a refund; App Store refund requests are handled by Apple under its applicable policies.

10. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Request deletion of your information.
Request a portable copy of certain information.
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
Complain to an applicable data-protection authority.

To make a request, email [email protected]. We may verify your identity before completing a request and will respond within the time required by applicable law. You can disable push notifications at any time through iOS Settings and can stop providing optional wellness or Companion content at any time.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your device and account credentials.

12. International processing

Keeps and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we use appropriate legal and contractual safeguards for international transfers.

13. Children's privacy

Keeps is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate authorization, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14. Third-party services and links

Third-party services and websites have their own privacy practices. This Policy does not govern Apple's independent processing related to the App Store, Apple accounts, payments, or other Apple platform services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of services you choose to use.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Keeps, our providers, legal requirements, or our practices. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will show when it was revised. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required.
